Pediatric Dermatology
We approach Pediatric Dermatology in a patient and understanding manner. We have children and understand they need special attention because they don’t always understand medical procedures. Whether they have skin disorders such as eczema, warts, rashes or even acne—we take our time and make sure they are both comfortable and encouraged about their treatment.

Skin Surgery/Skin Cancer Treatment
The word “surgery” invokes a lot of emotion and thoughts. We approach every skin surgery and cancer treatment with the utmost care and concern for every aspect of our patient’s health and well-being. Cosmetic Dermatology
Looking younger or better is what we all want, but Cosmetic Dermatology is a serious and thoughtful process. We have been providing Cosmetic Dermatology for nearly a decade and know how to prescribe just the right therapy for every individual. From Botox Cosmetic treatments to Dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Radiesse—we artfully provide the enhancements our patients seek. Additionally, we provide Chemical peels and treat leg veins with Sclerotherapy, Rosacea with Candela V-Beam Laser and eyelash growth with Latisse. We will also recommend the right products for personalized skin care as well.

Contact Dermatitis and Occupational Dermatology
Skin Health issues should not keep people from enjoying a productive life. At Stones River Dermatology we provide contact allergy patch testing in order to properly diagnosis and treat a variety of work-related skin problems. We accept Worker’s Compensation cases and work diligently to help our clients get back to work and being productive.

Community Service
Because Murfreesboro is home to Dr. Nelson and his staff, they are always looking for ways to make their community a better place to live for everyone. Stones River Dermatology enjoys giving back, therefore we support noble causes such as the Discovery School, Murfreesboro Symphony Orchestra, Oaklands Association and the Charity Circle. Additionally, providing dermatology treatments for those with limited resources is a real joy for us. We’re glad to provide these services and look forward to helping folks achieve better skin health.
Dr. Nelson serves as a volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor at Vanderbilt’s School of Medicine and he helps train students at Trevecca Nazarene University and Oakland High School to meet future health care needs. Also, Dr. Nelson educates other local physicians about psoriasis treatments.
